[Right_to_die] World Federation president taken ill, out for a month

Dear Friend of the WFrtDS

I have been asked  to inform you that on Saturday, December 13,  our
President Dr. Juan Mendoza  underwent surgery for an abdominal aneurysm,
and he is presently in the intensive care unit at Marly Hospital here in
Bogota under stable conditions.

Due to this unfortunate circumstance, Dr. Mendoza will be away from the
office and will be unable to be in touch with Federation members for at
least a month, according to his physicians.  We all wish Dr. Mendoza a
speedy and successful recovery.
