Re: Kevorkian interview in newspaper

I feel certain that the Detroit News didn't quote Jack Kevorkian
accurately. The media sensationalizes everything that will attract
readers. I remember when I was interviewed years ago and the interviewer
asked if she could take me out to lunch. I told her that I preferred to
finish the interview because I didn't have time for lunch.

The article stated that I didn't eat, implying that I had anorexia.
There were many other statements about me that were stated with the
intention of creating a negative image.

This article exemplifies the power of the media. This is not the
Dr. Kevorkian we know. He lives the life of a humble man who has
little needs or superficial attachments. Anyone who has studied with a
Guru knows that Dr. Kevorkian is living the ideal life. It's untrue that
he has never loved because he couldn't have helped so many suffering
people without a deep sense of love and compassion. He has every right
to feel disillusioned because our government's intrusion upon our lives
and he is actively trying to change it by running for office. Dr.
Kevorkian has NOT given up, as the article implies.

Many of us share his values and his life has had positive impact on
thousands of admirers. It's wonderful that Jack is running for office.
